No School

What does -42 wind-chilling degrees (in-the-middle-of-the-day) look like?

Certainly not like this:

Not even like this:

This is the closest it can possibly look like:

So, what does one do when it is that cold outside?

Be awakened by three excited children who inform you school is canceled for the second day in a row because of the weather. (Except you already knew this because it was on the 10:00 news the night before- but since you're awake now, you might as well get up...)

Watch Good Morning America and see some great recipes, like Peanut Butter and Jelly French toast and Oven Baked Frittata withBacon Lardon, Spinach and Fontina Cheese.

Put your foot down and say- absolutely no Wii until after 12:00. And then hear tattles when Dad is caught playing Lego Star Wars before given time. (He wasn't awake when the edict was given.)

Have a nap.

Spend time with your family. And don't leave the house. Except to take Boo to violin lessons. Later today. If we make it.

Good luck! The cold front hit us two nights ago. The temperature is still dropping. What fun.

So not quite as cold as you guys, but we had -37 degree wind chill. School was not canceled. I still had to walk to class. Coldest I've ever been in my life. Three degrees less and it would have been cancelled, but when it's that close, I still say they should cancel it, becuase it is bitterly painfully cold outside.
