Today marks the one year anniversary of us moving from Iowa. So, I wanted to do a little reflecting on what I like and what I miss.
What I Miss
*My Friends.
*Nauvoo
*CRAZY testimonies in Sacrament meeting (think of someone talking about their weekend stint in jail. Those were good times!!)
*Good Piano Teacher :)
*A ward that is more of a family
*Target...and for that matter, a mall
*My "alone" time at Walmart on Saturday nights. Here, I have to share my Saturday shopping with everyone else in town.
Things I like now
*How happy Alan is. He's never been so happy.
*Being SOOO close to our family (and no matter what anyone thinks, 3 hours is VERY close!!)
*Sarah's awesome violin teacher
*How close geographically our ward is.
*Walking to church (and having the kids walk to scouts and activity days)
*The weather!! Mild winters and mild summers
*Friends
*Having a yard...and a garage :)
*I am continually amazed at the landscape. It is an amazing place!
*The schools
At first this was a hard move, especially for me. But I always knew I would adapt. I have ended up being happy wherever we have lived. I am happy to be here. I am thankful for all the blessings we've received over the past year. Life is good.

It always takes me a year or so to get completely settled into a new place. Glad there are so many things to like (and I think 3 hours is close, too).
My list of things I miss sounds pretty similar to yours! I am still working on the things I like list. :)
Moves are so hard, we are still settling into Heber and we have been here two and a half years. I'd love to see you sometime if you make it up to Salt Lake!
Just saw this post! Wow! A year! SO many thoughts! We still miss you guys, but it is so awesome to see how great you are doing!
