Wicked... and pictures

I loved "Wicked". Loved it. In fact, I decided to share my love of it with my children. Even the part where I had to explain parts of the play (including the tricky ending-after they saw it) multiple times to each of them throughout the past few months. But, there is one part of the play that Ubby just doesn't get. He has asked me at least 10 times a day since he saw the play last week- "Why was the lion a coward?" I'm starting to think that maybe it's just too abstract for his little mind to understand. But how come he gets the entire rest of the play?
(For those of you not familiar with "Wicked", he is a coward because Elphaba aka The Wicked Witch of the West, saves him from being picked on so he never learns to stick up for himself.) Most of the time I have the patience for rapid-fire-questions from my kids. Yesterday I didn't. I can always tell when I start to be short with the boys- Boo busts in and tries to "be on my side", which usually means she says something like- "How many times does Mom have to tell you? Don't you remember anything?!!?" So although that's what I really want to say, I have to calm myself down and act nice towards my children so they will be nice to one another.
