Stuff

Two and a half years ago I was called to be a counselor to a great woman in the RS. She has a dry witt and I loved serving with her. But EVERY email she would send out would say "stuff" for the subject. Finally I made a snide remark about her creativity about subjects. Immediately she started adding "more stuff" to her subject lines...Ya, this isn't funny unless you have received an email (or hundreds of them) from her. So...6 of us might appreciate the title of this post.

I finished my first digital scrapbook page yesterday. I must say that I really like digital scrapbooking. I downloaded a bunch of free digital elements and layered everything in photoshop. Thank you to Super L for teaching me how to work photoshop. (I tried it on my own. All I could do was open a picture and do weird things with it- and Doe didn't like having white spots where his eyes were supposed to be:)

And, now for the latest at our house. Sweet Pea realized yesterday that her voice can be used for talking AT people. Our house is amazingly louder these past 2 days. Seeing as how each child has to be louder than the one before, I think we should stop before we all go deaf.

Tonight was pack meeting. I have been pondering the past little while different callings in the ward. Being Primary Pres. has definitely put a different spin on things for me. I've always just done the callings I've been called to. And I've enjoyed them. But being in charge of a whole organization is a different experience. When I used to hear heads of organizations say "Thank you for all you do", I would feel kind of weird. I wasn't serving for them. I was serving because the Lord wanted me to. As I deal with all the callings involved in the primary, I find myself understanding why people say thank you. So here is a little shout out to all of you:

You may be serving in a calling because the Lord wants you there. But I am in charge of the organization as a whole. There are plenty of people happy to NOT do their calling. So when you do your calling, it makes my calling easier. So THANK YOU to all of you who do your callings so well!!!

And, getting back to my original point, I hope one day I can be a den leader. Or something in cub scouts. Or activity day girls. Kids that age are... ok, they can be annoying. But they are so fun to be with (and, as my mom says, they laugh at the DUMBEST jokes!!)

I get those emails now. They never change. Good to know that this is how she works.

Also, I want to learn how to do the digital scrapbook pages, so you'll have to help me when you get some time.

"stuff" yes, I am sure I have gotten those emails too.

I have not gotten into the digiscraping...I would love to see some work, though. I like texture in and on my layouts.
